When I read any scripture, Christian or Buddhist, I always keep in mind that whatever Jesus or the Buddha said was to a particular person or group on a particular occasion.

看到經文，不管是耶穌或佛所說的，都要想到該內容是針對某個特定的個人或團體，在某個特定的場合中所說的。

I try to understand deeply the context in which they spoke in order to really understand their meaning.

瞭解他們說該話的時空背景，才能真正瞭解他們的意思。

What they said may be less important than how they said it.

瞭解他們如何(為何)說出這段話，也許要比瞭解這些話語的本身更重要。

When we understand this, we are close to Jesus or the Buddha.

當我們能認識這點，我們便與耶穌或佛更接近。

But if we analyze their words to find the deepest meaning without understanding the relationships between the speaker and his listeners, we may miss the point.

想要找出話語中最深刻的意義，如果我們只是去分析字字句句的意思，而不去瞭解說話的人與聽話的人的關係，我們可能誤判，或漏讀了重要的信息！

        試問，您用怎樣的態度讀天書？想一想，天書的作者(仙佛)，寫給在這個時空的讀者，說話的人與聽話的人的關係，您會吸收到天書中更深層的意義！
